The company was incorporated in the State of
Alabama on February 21, 1997. The principals have operated a mortgage brokerage
business since 1991. In addition, the principals have operated a real estate
brokerage since 1981.
The company has developed unique specialized mortgage templates that give a
fast, accurate, good faith estimate to potential borrowers, as well as serving
as a foundation for the whole originating process.
In addition, the Franchisor has also developed seminars as a unique way to
recruit prospective loan originators. Operating manuals are provided to
Franchisees that cover all aspects of operating the business. It works for a
single person shop to a multi-level corporation. Thorough training is provided
by Franchisor to Franchisee that covers processing, use of software, use of
automated underwriting, credit reports, packaging of loans, accounting,
marketing, managing, recruiting, ethics, personnel and other training to give
the Franchisee the very best opportunity to be successful.
The originator training
starts from ‘what is a mortgage’ and proceeds with training in the use of
templates, manual and website. The originators are trained ‘how to obtain and
read a credit report, how to help borrowers decide which loan program best fits
their needs, how to price the loan and how to comply with the laws and
regulations governing mortgage brokering’.
The Franchisor has had
practical application of this training and besides running a successful real
estate brokerage and giving mortgage seminars for others, has increased sales
over the last 3 years by 62%.
Overall market assessment
– This market has been virtually untouched. Prior to the advent of templates
and automated underwriting, most efforts to combine real estate sales and
mortgage originating were dreadful failures. Time restraints and paperwork were
prohibitive. These memories and the fostering of the erroneous idea that it was
unethical for a realtor to be a loan originator has created a virgin territory
for those that would be willing to venture into it. Our first franchise has
been very successful and proves the old ideas and fears are unfounded and
untrue. Managers that are ethical in one field will be ethical in others. Its
not isolated to a business, but to people. Recruit and train ethical realtors
and you will have ethical originators as well. The Franchisor has done this for
the past 15 years.
